The Hancock County Housing Consortium Committee and 1Matters have begun planning for the 3rd 1Matters Project Connect (1MPC) in Findlay Ohio, to be held 10/27/2012. We will update details as the planning progresses.
This is a pretty remarkable group. The consortium’s organizing committee includes numerous non-profits, vocational and secondary education establishments, county/city and private health institutions, private businesses, information and referral representation.
Last year this team united 25 collaborating service providers to provide an efficient 1,783 units of service to 169 family units in 5 hours: 435 units of Information & Referral, 876 of direct service, and 472 medical/dental exams or tests. This means each family accessed 9.94 needed services which normally could take weeks to schedule and receive, and each agency had access to 169 families. Documented Direct Services Delivered: $41,934.97 or $248.13 per family. How cool is that! Way to go Hancock team!
Including volunteers nearly 300 people attended this community building event. If you are interested in helping, you can email findlay at 1matters dot org.
