Project Connect – Adrian, MI

Every year, Project Connect brings together resources for homeless, or at-risk individuals. From the haircuts and nail services to providing housing assistance and medical services, everyone who attends has the opportunity to gain some basic needs.

If this sounds familiar, Project Connect is a one-day version of 1Matters Tent City, in many respects. These events are important to bring our communities together and help those in our hometowns, and surrounding areas to have access to a variety of health and human services. Volunteers and sponsors come together with guests of events to help them get closer to being self-sufficient and living in secure, permanent housing. Education, employment and health information and assistance can be empowering and programs like Project Connect can empower individuals and families to elevate out of homelessness.

This year’s annual Project Connect in Lenawee County on Jan 25th was well-attended with volunteers and sponsors collaborating to meet the needs of the guests. Events like Project Connect, aimed to assist homeless individuals and families, are held throughout the year in different areas – there are always ways to help. See if there is one near you here.
